May bank holiday Monday at Falkirk

Callendar House dating back to the 14th century and set in its own  superb grounds. Currently there is an excellent photographic exhibition on exhibiting works by Italian photographer Fabrizio Gianni.

The Kelpies. These are two enormous horse sculptures very near the M9. They are set in a lovely water scape incorporating the Union canal.

HMS Somerset docked in Leith Docks. This is a Royal Navy frigate. We just happened by chance to see the ship docked and there was a convenient open day.
